Brian Nelson
Chairman & CEO

Brian Nelson

Brian's management experience and leadership abilities have helped build ValueCommerce into one of the leading Internet Sales and Marketing companies in Japan. Through his results oriented operational philosophy, team building skills, motivation based communications and clear direction, Brian has been able to harness the tremendous strength of a diverse and highly talented management team and group of employees, who are focused on executing an aggressive vision and strategy for the future.

Brian gained his experience and skills through his operational, sales, consulting, marketing, and senior management positions which he has held since first coming to Japan in 1990. This experience has proven invaluable as he executes his responsibilities as CEO of ValueCommerce since March of 2001.

Brian joined ValueCommerce in January of 2000 as the COO from the consulting industry, where he had a highly successful career with "The Gallup Organization" in Japan. As Director of Sales and Marketing he was credited with developing and managing GallupJapan's domestic and international client portfolio, consistently boosting year-on-year revenues, profits, and customer satisfaction. This led to Brian being appointed as a Director of the Board to GallupSingapore in order to provide assistance to the President of GallupSingapore during the start up phase of those operations.

Prior to Gallup, Brian worked in Business Development with a subsidiary of Japan's largest and most profitable non-life insurer, Tokyo Marine and Fire Insurance Co., Ltd., and previously began his experience in Japan as a sales executive for Ashisuto, Japan's first full service computer software corporation.

Clarke Robertson
Executive Vice-president

Clarke Robertson

Clarke Robertson, with over 15 years of experience in Technology and Management, is the Executive Vice-president and a member of the Board of Directors.

Clarke brings a wealth of Information Technology and Business Management experience, having spent a number of years with News Corporation in Information Technology roles. Clarke then played a large part in a major European Internet Service Providers startup, as lead Information Technology Architect and a Senior Manager. Clarke has also spent time running business operations for Managed and Shared Hosting Services at ValueCommerce, which gives him a well rounded perspective on both Technical and Business Operations issues in Japan.

Keiichi Takahashi
CFO

Keiichi Takahashi

As CFO, Keiichi has extensive experience working at some of Japan's highest profile companies and their overseas offices behind their respective financial dashboards. It is this background that has provided Keiichi with the perfect set of skills to oversee ValueCommerce's extensive management and reporting needs.

Prior to joining ValueCommerce in 2001, Keiichi was the director for Finance and Administration for the profile AOL Japan. Before this he held senior roles at Uniden Corporation where he served as Executive Vice President and Ernst & Young, where he worked as auditor and US tax professional in both the Tokyo and New York offices.

Mikio Katagishi
COO

Mikio Katagishi

As COO of ValueCommerce, Mikio is primarily responsible for supervising all sales management, as well as supervising consulting sales- a key focus for the Company.

After graduating from university, Mikio Katagishi joined IBM Japan, Ltd. He has been actively involved in the solutions business for more than 20 years as he assumed an array of responsibilities, including General Manager, Solution Department, Communication Media, and Public Services Division.
